Christmas at the Astronòmic

This experience is designed for children up to 12 years old. It includes a planetarium show at The Eye of Montsec where an immersive film “The Christmas star” is projected and a workshop on the magic of optics.

In this workshop, we will explore the effects of polarization using polarized sheets and various transparent layers made with tape to create drawings that change color depending on the viewing angle. Drawings can be created using templates or through free creative drawing. Although we will be looking at transparent sheets, when we use polarized sheets through a window with sunlight, we will be able to make the invisible visible.

During the planetarium show, the immersive film “The Christmas Star” will be projected.

Christmas Concert with the Rabadàb group, the Lleida-based band that appears every Christmas to get everyone dancing to carols with Jamaican rhythms through the most popular songs from the traditional repertoire.

Show: Christmas Carols for Jamaicans.
Includes: concert at The Eye of Montsec Planetarium and an observation session at The Telescope Park.

As a new addition, we will be opening a Christmas Market with stalls from local producers, crafts, and unique offerings for the holidays. Come and enjoy a cozy atmosphere with Christmas music and a space designed for the whole family.
