Accessibility at the Astronomical

At the Montsec Astronomical Park, we work every day to be an inclusive space where science and the exploration of the sky are accessible to everyone. Our facilities are equipped with various technical and architectural solutions to ensure the independence and comfort of visitors with limited mobility.

Arrival and Parking

To make it easy for you to get here right from the start, we offer:

Reserved parking spaces: Our parking lot has two spaces specifically designated and marked for vehicles of people with limited mobility, located in the area closest to the main entrance.

Access to the Center and Circulation

The building has been designed to allow for a comfortable, unobstructed flow:

Main Entrance: We have a spacious entrance that allows wheelchairs and strollers to enter without any technical difficulties.

Accessible facilities: The center has restrooms (WC) that are fully accessible for people with limited mobility, ensuring their functionality and safety.

Exhibition and Outreach Spaces

We have adapted our flagship spaces so that no one misses out on the scientific experience:

Universe Hall: To access the permanent exhibition in areas with stairs, we have an electric chair available to assist with vertical movement.

“Ull del Montsec” Planetarium: Access to the interior of the planetarium is via an accessible ramp, and it has doors designed to ensure smooth entry.

Astronomical Observation

The experience of gazing at the sky is also made possible by:

Observation domes: We have accessible ramps that provide access to both the classroom dome and the solar domes, ensuring that all visitors can participate in the live observation sessions.

Web accessibility

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya works to guarantee universal access to its digital content, regardless of users’ abilities or the technical conditions of access.
