Discover the universe as you have never seen it before at the Montsec Astronomical Park.
The park brings science closer to the public to make known the greatness of a night sky with extraordinary characteristics that allows the secrets of the universe to be discovered.
It offers numerous activities in the middle of nature for all audiences, both daytime and nighttime, aimed at universities, schools but also at a basic informative level for families, fans, etc.
1- “Eclipse 2026”
This year, all eyes are on August 12, 2026.
During our daytime experiences, we will provide live educational demonstrations of the eclipse, teaching you how to observe the phenomenon safely and what techniques to use.
2- Tribute to a Pioneer: Maria Assumpció Català i Poch
Throughout the year, at the beginning of each visit, we will screen a 5-minute short film dedicated to the career of the first professional female astronomer at a Spanish university.

It is a multimedia planetarium with a retractable cupola measuring 12 meters in diameter. Here you can watch the film “Cap Com Go”, which allows you to discover the great history of the first human landing on the Moon in the space race context.
The showing is completed with an explanation of the night sky with the assistance of an instructor.
It is COU’s observation site where visitors can learn about the different equipment. In addition to this, if the weather makes it possible, visitors can observe the Sun.
COU’s main building houses a permanent exhibition on several fields: astronomy and the space sciences in the Hall of the Universe and also devotes a space to the protection of the nightlife against light pollution in the Sala Starlight.
