This Friday, the first part of the festival begins, which this year extends over two weekends and offers activities for the whole family to discover the secrets of the sky
From 10 to 13 October and from 17 to 19 October, the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec (PAM), internationally recognised for the exceptional quality of its night sky and managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, is holding a new edition of the Astronomy Festival. This year, there will be workshops, concerts, guided tours and special experiences, both day and night. The festival combines science, culture and tourism, and is becoming one of the most anticipated events of autumn for all audiences.
This 11th edition is dedicated to Dr. M. Assumpció Català i Poch, a pioneering astronomer in Catalonia and a reference in the history of Spanish science. During the festival, various proposals will be carried out to discover the Sun, since Català was an expert in observing and obtaining images of this celestial body.
Featured activities:
– Night experience “The Autumn Sky” (October 10, 17 and 18): A live planetarium session and observation at the Telescope Park.
– Special night experience “SunSec + Autumn Sky” (October 10 and 11): Combination of planetarium with artistic projection and astronomical observation.
– Special experience “Stellar Cyanotypes” (October 11): Family activity with planetarium and three-hour creative workshop.
