The Montsec Astronomical Park presents the 16th edition of “Music, the Universe, and Gastronomy Under the Stars” with a stellar lineup

The Montsec Astronomical Park (PAM), managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has presented the 16th edition of the “Music, the Universe, and Gastronomy Under the Stars” series in Lleida. This immersive experience has been reinvented this year to combine live music, the exploration of the cosmos, and—for the first time—a culinary offering featuring local products.

Music, the universe, and cuisine under one of Europe’s most beautiful skies

The event takes place at the iconic Ull del Montsec, a planetarium with a 12-meter-diameter dome located in the town of Àger, beneath one of Europe’s most unique and renowned night skies.

In addition to the musical performances and stargazing sessions, the main new feature of this year’s event is the creation of a new dining and social space in Plaça de l’Harmonia—a setting designed to encourage socializing and extend the experience in an exclusive atmosphere.

September through December Schedule: 10 concerts and 5 bands

The series will run from September through December and will feature a total of 10 concerts by 5 prominent groups from the music scene:

– Els Amics de les Arts: they will kick off the series on Friday, September 18, with two shows (9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.), showcasing their signature folk-pop style and narrative lyrics.

– Tomeu Penya: the Mallorcan singer-songwriter will perform his fusion of traditional music, rock and roll, and country on Friday, October 24 (8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.).

– Lluís Sánchez: he returns for a second performance at the Astronomical Park on Saturday, November 7 (7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.) with a versatile and moving show.

– Companyia Elèctrica Dharma: this pioneering group, known for fusing traditional music, jazz, rock, and psychedelia, will perform an intimate, up-close concert on Friday, November 21 (7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.).

– Meritxell and Judit Neddermann: the duo will close out the series on Saturday, December 12 (6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) with a delicate performance featuring vocals, piano, and vocal harmonies, centered on a Christmas-themed repertoire.

Practical information and ticket sales

Tickets for each concert are now available on the parcastronomic.cat website for 39 euros, which includes admission to the concert, stargazing, and the G-Astronòmic wine tasting. Now in its fifteenth year, the concert series has established itself as a premier event with its own unique identity that connects audiences through emotion, creativity, and contemplation of the universe.
